A few days ago I posted a crude scroll saw build that can be done within a quick period of time. It wasn’t great and used a foot pedal – but the point was it actually worked and was good enough to prevent having to cut with a coping saw on your project. Quite a few woodworkers aren’t big on using the scroll saw but they are actually a lot of fun to work with.
If you make a few things with it then you may get hooked. I know when I first looked at it I really wasn’t impressed. But though they are used for intricate work and design, and take longer to make certain items, they can be a lot of fun.
This again is a saw that is run by drill power – Izzy Swan goes through and shows you how it is built but though he doesn’t give the dimensions of the project you can get an idea of what to do.
