Though technically what you see here isn’t a drawer – if you are in a bind to have a place to put your forks, knives and spoons, this can be a temporary fix for you. Or if you aren’t worried about doing more than this, then you will be set!
Instead of building an actual drawer for his silverware, he just builds slides and uses a silverware insert that you put in a drawer to pull it out.
You can possibly add a drawer front if you like, and this way you will be able to hide the fact that it is just the insert. Either way, it could satisfy yourself or your spouse at least momentarily until you come up with something better. Or again, if you think it is good enough, especially if you attach a drawer front to it – then it may be enough for you!
